Three Days Away

We are officially three days away from the start of the 2008 World Series and there is still one team yet to be determined.

The Phillies are in, they have been in since Wednesday, and now they await the winner of the Sunday night’s game against the Rays and Red Sox.

It is game seven of the ALCS in Tampa Bay and the Red Sox are trying to put together another memorable comeback from a 3-1 deficit.

The series is three days away and the excitement in and around Philadelphia is growing to unseen proportions.

You can’t walk around the city or even the suburbs in South Jersey without seeing hundreds of people dressed in red clothing with Phillies logos all over the place.

Sunday, in Marlton, Shane Victorino met with fans at the Marlton Shop Rite on Route 70 from 12:30-2:30. The line came out of the Shop Rite door and wrapped down the sidewalk, around the Kohl’s, and into the rest of the parking lot.

Not bad for a player that was picked up in the Rule 5 Draft a couple of years ago. Victorino has made his name in Philly as a hard nosed player with a quick bat and a flare for the dramatics.

The excitement keeps building and building in the Philadelphia area and fans can’t wait until game one in the American League city.
